The short version: Pixaroid processes all images entirely in your browser. Your image files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never transmitted anywhere. We collect minimal analytics only.

1. Who We Are

Pixaroid ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at https://pixaroid.vercel.app and provides browser-based image processing tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our platform.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because all image processing happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API and Web Workers, we do not:

Receive, store, or process your image files on our servers
Access the content of any images you upload
Store any output images or processed results
Associate images with your identity in any way

Once you close or refresh your browser tab, all image data is permanently gone from your device's temporary memory.

3. Information We May Collect

Usage data. Like most websites, we may collect anonymised usage analytics including: pages visited, features used, browser type, operating system, and approximate geographic location (country-level). This data helps us understand user behavior and improve tools.

Log data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard web server logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and HTTP status codes. These logs are retained for security purposes and deleted after 30 days.

Cookies. Pixaroid uses a single first-party cookie (pxn-theme) to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use tracking cookies. If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may set their own cookies in compliance with their privacy policies.

4. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use Pixaroid. GA4 collects anonymised data about page views, session duration, and feature engagement. We have enabled IP anonymization and do not transmit personally identifiable information to Google.

5. Advertising

Pixaroid may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. If advertising is active, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites.

We never allow advertisers to collect or access your image data. Ad placements are clearly labelled and do not interfere with tool functionality.

6. Third-Party Services

Pixaroid loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google Fonts requests may be logged by Google. We do not share any personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Third-party services used:

Google Fonts — typography (fonts.googleapis.com)
Vercel — hosting and CDN
Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics (when enabled)
Google AdSense — advertising (when enabled)

7. Data Retention

We do not store personal data beyond what is described above. Server logs are deleted after 30 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in accordance with GA4 defaults.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your personal data
Opt out of analytics data collection
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Children's Privacy

Pixaroid is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
